Category | A category is a way to group courses and enable simple search functionality. A category can be seen as an industry sector, e.g. Finance. All finance related courses should be listed under this category. |
Certificate No. | Certificate Number is generated for every AQF certificate issue (Statement of Attainment, Qualification Certificate and Record of Achievement) as a unique identification. Certificate Number does not change when a certificate is being reprinted. |
Child program | A training program which has another training program as its parent. |
Control No. | Control Number is generated in the system for every Non Accredited Certificate issue. Admin User can hide the Control No from the Certificate Template in the Template Editor if it is not necessary to be displayed on the certificate print. |
Concurrent Users | A software license that is based on the number of simultaneous users accessing the program. It typically deals with software running in the server where users connect via the network. This license is used for SCORM eLearning in the TMS. |
Course | There are 3 types of courses in BluegemEXPLORE®
Certificate Course – A traditional course in which the completion of the course leads to a certification or the completion of single or multiple course units leads to a certification (eLearning courses containing UOCs are classified as Certificate courses). Short Course – delivered over a short period of time, and does not usually contain any units of competency. eLearning Short Course – delivered and assessed over the Internet. It is usually used for non-accredited courses such as Inductions and pre-assessments. This course type cannot contain any Units and is designed as to host a standalone courses. If the course contains a single or multiple units of competency, it is classified as a Certificate Course. A course can be set up according to clusters of units or other arrangements; and can be either a full qualification course or part of qualification course. |

DNS | An acronym for Did Not Start, used to identify the reason a trainee is marked Not Yet Competent (NYC) against a Unit of Competency or Qualification. |
Duration | The length of a course schedule (e.g. 1 year, 2 days). |
eLearning content | Files which can be presented on the web including, Microsoft office pdf, videos, SCORM modules which can be uploaded in BluegemEXPLORE® LMS

Enrolment | An enrolment is when you are putting a trainee onto a course that is listed on the TMS system. |

USI | The new initiative, known as the Unique Student Identifier or USI , was to be implemented from 1 January 2014, and will serve as a building block for a range of VET reforms by providing accurate and comprehensive information about students’ training achievements and movements within the VET system. Students, training organisations, employers, and governments will all benefit from the USI in some way.
The USI is a component of the VET Reform Agenda and will assist the continued development of transparency in the VET sector. VSR | Victorian Student Registration – required of RTOs in Australian Victoria State for students younger than 25 years of age. |
VSN | Victorian Student Number –every student under 25 years of age who is studying in Victoria will get a VSN. VSN is a 9-digit student identification number that will be assigned by the Dept of Education and Early Childhood Development to all students in Govt. and non-Govt. schools, and students up to the age of 25 in Vocational Education and Training Institutions. The number, which is unique to each student, will be used as a key identifier on a student’s records, and will remain with the student throughout his or her education, until reaching the age of 25 at which point the student’s VSN will be retired. |
